Stimp is the measured speed of a putting surface, and it is the only figure that says whether an indoor green putts like a course or like a carpet. Golf Sim Oracle counts how many indoor greens publish a stimp reading.

Golf Sim Oracle tracks 15 putting greens on Amazon and measures every listing against the specifications that actually decide the purchase. Of the 15 we currently hold, one state stimp speed and 14 do not. That gap is the finding. These are not obscure figures: they are the ones a buyer needs before choosing, and they are missing from the listing that is doing the selling. Prices and category rankings come from the Amazon Product Advertising API and are refreshed twice a day, so no figure here is more than 24 hours old; 15 of the 15 carry a live price at the moment this page was built. What follows is not a review. Golf Sim Oracle does not test equipment and does not claim to, and the brands that dominate this category publish no specification documents to cite either. Every claim quoted below is the seller's own wording, and the counts above are our measurement of those listings rather than of the products themselves. A listing that omits a specification has not told us the product lacks it.

What stimp speed should an indoor putting green be?
A well-kept members course typically runs somewhere in the low double digits on the stimpmeter, and tournament setups run faster. A mat slower than the greens you actually play trains a stroke that will run every putt short when you get there. The figure only helps if the maker publishes it, and most do not.
How long does an indoor putting green need to be?
Long enough to hold the putt you keep missing. Most misses that matter are inside 10 feet, so a green that cannot present a 10-foot putt is training the tap-in you were already making. Length is the specification most listings do state.
Why do cheap putting mats roll offline?
They ship rolled, and the backing keeps the curl. A ripple of a few millimetres is enough to push a slow-rolling ball off its line, so the stroke gets blamed for the mat. Listings address this with claims about true roll or lying flat, which are claims rather than measurements.
