About and methodology

Golf Sim Oracle is an independent reference site for golf simulators and launch monitors, built around sourced specifications rather than hands-on reviews.

What we are

Golf Sim Oracle collects the specifications that decide whether a golf simulator will work in your space: ceiling height, room depth, software compatibility, and what the whole build costs once subscriptions are included. We publish them as tables you can sort and check.

What we are not

We do not test equipment in-house. Several sites in this space genuinely buy the units and hit balls into them. That is real work and we are not going to imply we have done it. If you want a feel for how a monitor performs in use, those sites are the right place to look.

Our contribution is different: the specification layer is scattered across manufacturer PDFs, retailer product pages and support documents, and nobody has put it in one place in a form you can compare. That is the job we have taken on.

How we source a figure

  • Manufacturer specification sheets and support documentation come first, cited by URL and the date we read them.
  • Retailer documentation is used only where the manufacturer publishes nothing, and it is labelled as such.
  • Where no published figure exists, the cell stays blank. We do not estimate a number and present it like a measurement.
  • Specifications change without announcement. The date on each figure tells you how much to trust it. Always confirm with the manufacturer before buying.

Corrections

If a figure here is wrong or out of date, we want to know, and we will publish the correction rather than quietly edit the number.
