Verdict

Bushnell publishes a room requirement for the Launch Pro i as a whole space, 13 feet of depth and at least 6 feet of width, rather than as a distance from the ball to the unit.

That phrasing matters when you are measuring a garage. A depth figure that already includes the ball-to-screen run is not comparable to a radar unit that quotes only the distance behind the ball, and reading the two as the same number understates a radar setup by roughly eight feet.

Golf Sim Oracle tracks the published space requirement for every launch monitor it covers, and Bushnell expresses the Launch Pro requirement as a whole room rather than as a distance from the ball. In its Launch Monitor Buyer's Guide, read 2026-08-09, Bushnell states that indoor use needs 13 feet of depth to track ball flight and at least 6 feet of width, with enough ceiling height to safely swing your club. No minimum ceiling figure is given anywhere on that page. The phrasing matters when comparing against a radar unit. A 13-foot depth that already contains the ball-to-screen run is not the same measurement as a radar unit quoting only the distance behind the ball, and reading the two as equivalent understates a radar setup by roughly eight feet. Bushnell's full simulator bundles do carry ceiling numbers, quoting recommended space of 12 feet wide by 18 feet deep with a 9 foot ceiling for the 10-foot enclosure, and 10 feet wide by 18 feet deep with an 8 foot ceiling for the 8-foot enclosure. Those figures describe the enclosure, not the launch monitor.
